I’m just another rapper from the streets of Sacramento. My words don’t matter. But I do have an opinion, for what that’s worth. I’ve seen the President Barack Obama come from being a speaker at the democratic convention, to being the first Black President of the United States of America. I’m very proud that I can say that. I think I somewhat understand that in his job, he can’t just push one agenda, he does have to look after the nation as a whole. But that doesn’t mean I’m not disappointed in some of his choices. But I understand that compromises have to be made.

This is the first President who speaks on rappers without sounding out of touch. I just hopes he listens to them as well. Most of us are from low-income situations and haven’t had all the opportunities or guidance to see the successes that he has made. Shit, a lot of my comrades don’t know anything else but hustling. So I’m saying, that President Obama should be interested in having a discussion with Tavis Smiley and Dr. Cornel West on the state of poverty in this nation. Working on the streets of Chicago, he must know how deep our issues go. As far as President Obama’s position on Gay Marriage, it’s about time he said that. I really don’t care who marries who. It ain’t none of my business. I got a cousin who is gay and married, it has no bearing on me, my house, or my daughter. So kudos to President Obama for that.

Them tax cuts for the rich should have been ended. See I grew up on welfare and section 8 housing. Ain’t no money ever trickled down to me. I had to make my money, earn my money. These muthafuckaz making millions and billions, and don’t want to give back. Even if it makes the country they call home better? I don’t get it. And the President should have ended them his first term. Healthcare is cool, and I know its going to be better in the future but, we need more income. More money on the streets. Lets get the Clinton empowerment zones back up, causes all I see is businesses closing around me.

I could go on and on about different positions that he has taken. And compared to the alternatives, I’d take President Obama any day. But I’m saying, on the next term, you gotta really make a difference for the people who really put you in the spot that you got. A lot of the ol timers I know are abandoning him over the offers to cut social security and other programs, as well as the gay marriage thing. The youth aren’t as easily swayed, but as a black man (as Cougnut once said to Master P) – tell me something good.

I seen Kanye West’s performance at the MTV VMAs the other night and was impressed wit his new jawn. I respect his thoughtt process in making new music. This nigga made a song for the dirtbags. Thats gotta be respected in some way fa real. You do get into a cycle of feeling like your making the same music, so you look for new things to write about. And he truly took his situation and used it for inspiration. That’s truly an honest work. Ya gotta luv it.

It seems as if its a constant battle. My big rellie cheese hit me today to offer his wordz of wizdom that he offers me from time to time, and uh it seems like it was just what I needed. Alot times I go thru everything with blinders on. Unforgiving and somewhat angry for the things I didn’t receive. But I cant trip on those things anymore. I see instances where I see people in position that I think I should have and it makes me feel this way. I wonder if that’s what everybody feels. Like You Owe Me. I guess that’s why weak individuals go off the deep end. I either case, my big Rellie hit me with what I needed today. Thatz fa real.

Whats Crackin World? Its ya boy Ill Logik. wit a dot after the K, fa real tho. But look. Im sounding off to let yall know about me from this point. Yeah, Ive been grindin this muooosik for a minute now. And uh, I think its time to rachet this up, mo than a few notches. I’ve been recording, working, and hustling to get my hits off the ground. Like so many of us, ya know. But I believe I can take the next step if I motivate my energy into one pathway. Get that tunnel-vision on. Thats why Im callin this campaign Independent Hustle / Independent Muscle. Im going back to how it was when I was hustling as a youngsta at Black Market. Its time shake hands and kiss babies, ya know. One by one, person by person, to let yall hear the truth. Like my nigga Lynch say, “Give’em a little bit to fuck wit and hav’em fiendin fo tha substance”. That’s why my music is on the site fa free. Its time to grind it out and make it hot. Gotta fertilize the lawn if you want the seeds ta grow. Face to face, store to store. I dont have the budget that say a lil wayne may have, or shit the buzz that drake gotz.
